Coriander Mint Chutney with Spring Onion and Raw Mango

Being in Delhi, I have grown up on chats ….Samosas, Papri, Gol Gappas, Dahi Bhalle, Aloo Tikki, Bhel Puri, Moong Dal Ladoos, Bhature chhole and what not. Most of the famous joints had some secret ingredient which would differentiate their platter from others. I distinctly remember one tikki wala, who used to serve his tikkis with chhole and green chutney. Never tasted any other tikki platter like that then on.  After I got married, I got to taste the green chutney made by my MIL. The taste is very close to the ones which  my fav samosa and tikki vendors used to serve. This chutney is a routine thing in our home now and brings any snacks to life.

Ingredients:
400 gm Coriander leaves
100 gm Mint leaves
3-4 Spring Onion with greens
1 Raw Mango
1 Green chilli
1 and 1/2 inch ginger piece
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Grind all the ingredients to a smooth paste. Store in glass or ceramic jars and keep in refrigerator.
