Oats Cutlet And Leftovers Sandwich, And Some Awards Too

This is not one of my recipe posts but rather what I did with some of the leftovers, from recipes posted earlier. This was a tasty and filling breakfast and I would rather make these in abundance from now on, to end up with leftovers 🙂

  • Leftover Oats Poha, have been mixed with potatoes (boiled and mashed) and breadcrumbs and some additional spices. They have been shaped into flat disks and pan fried.
  • Moong Dal Chutney used as a hummus or spread.
  • Some Cucumber slices and Olives on top. More fresh vegetables and Jalapeños can be added to enhance the taste.

The peanuts and Bengal gram that were added in the Oats Poha add a nice crunch to cutlets. The Moong Dal chutney just blends naturally a spread. So no worries about it tasting as a south indian condiment which is out of the way in a sandwich 🙂 Next time I would use a Pita or other flat bread to make it a Wrap and it would just be perfect.

Cooking Time: 10 Mins

Ingredients:

Leftover Oats poha
Moong Dal Chutney

Using the left overs in food is always a good idea, rather than just throwing them away. I like this post.
I also made a post of how to utilize left-over crumbs in making a fresh cake like thing. But its called Nut Tarts and it is delicious. 🙂
